I don't understand these royal (?) titles...

In adventure mode I finally made my way to the castle in the capital, and the humans who are, I presume, the king and queen are titled "holy ocean" and "first lake", respectively.  I guess they are royalty because when I ask for quests they recommend I speak to their subjects.  They have human names, and had regular jobs in the past according to their own histories.  When asked his profession, the holy ocean says, "I am holy ocean".

Is this normal?  Why are they titled thus?  Is this a religious thing?  I couldn't find anything through searching so any help would be much appreciated!

edit - There is another guy here called "sacred drink".  This must be a regular thing!

These are religious titles, and procedurally generated. Humans usually dont have kings or queens but just law-givers and lords.

I once had a "sacred filth".
If you go in legends mode you'll probably see that they have some kind of water god.
