Not the enemy
« on: August 26, 2012, 03:33:37 pm »

There's a real balance to be maintained in the game.  That's the balance between martial prowess/juice and police attention.  Crimes don't go away unless you are cleared or serve jail time.  If you serve jail time, you probably just lost (do you know a lot of founders without a rap sheet long enough for multiple consecutive life sentences?), but there's a solution.  It's surrendering.

Talk to the police and give up before the bullets start firing.  Go to trial.  Win.  You've got a clean sheet.  It's not usually a great solution, you are out of service two months and if you lose you are fucked (short of having a really short rap sheet and getting a brief sentence).  Early in the game I want my founder to get arrested before they've commited ten murders and 200 petty crimes.  It's pretty easy to get off on that.  A mid level founder with a few points of law and excellent persuasion (which if you've got more than 4 followers I know you have) can get out pretty easy.

You CAN train everyone in it, but I find it's better to have a sleeper too.  Having a good sleeper lawyer can save your hordes of faceless, uninteresting followers too.  Just remember, get arrested, not killed.

The morale of this story is - "go and get at least 4 children slaves and make them work for you 25/7 by playing street music while you are learning gymnastics and public policy in college"

I am currently investigating what Brainfreez is on. It is the greatest drug that any man, woman, kobold or pony has ever seen, going off of that everything he posts is pure win.
Sleyerhero90 : You're battle-rapping with a guy who supported THE SAME FREAKING GUY YOU DO!
Breainfreez : wait .... really ?
