The Final Frontier: A Homebrew RPG
« on: August 11, 2012, 07:26:13 pm »

Hello there.

Me and my friend Botanist were working on a homebrew roleplaying system in our spare time. We originally intended it to be similar to Dead Space exploration of derelict ships, but quickly evolved into a simulation of a generic sci-fi setting, with it's own roleplaying system to boot. We intend to make a roleplaying game that's fairly simple to pick up and doesn't require too much thought with story and fun coming after rules. It's not completely finished, but this would be considered the "Editing" part of the process. Now, we'd like some feedback on it so far. What needs to be improved.

One thing we also haven't done is a proper combat system. I was thinking myself to making it similar to film fight scenes, but I'm not sure how to pull that off in a convincing manner.

Here is our results so far.
