Is there a way to enter a sewer with a grate?

I'm trying to get in there to get water, I'm in a town with a freezing climate.

You can't enter through the grates, you need to find Sewer Access on the travel map.

A different (and easier) way to get water is to use a well - (u)se the well, lower and raise the bucket, (I)nteract with your waterskin and fill it with ice from the bucket. Then, make a campfire with (g). And finally, (I)nteract with your waterskin and heat it at the fire.

Or you could drink blood.

I vote blood.  Kill something in the most gruesome way possible.  Or get a quiver and stuff it with snow and melt it w/a campfire.
