It started when I tunneled Shake to death to lose the game for town in BM XXIV.

I can't be expected to remember the names of everyone I've tried to stab.

Bored? Go read the EVE Chronicles.

Just conferring with PoTL with a few tidbits before (probably) getting it (BM XXXVI) ready.

a) On that subject, other than my screw up, how do you think I did my first time modding?
b) Any suggestions on things I could do better?
c) Opinions on the Flavor?  Too much, too little, to verbose, to out there, just right? Had anyone actually heard of The World Ends With You before this?

Mostly, what Shakerag said. To expand a bit:

a) You did well, the game was loads of fun; the screw up was unfortunate but learning by doing means I'm sure it won't happen again (I screwed up on my first game too, and I'll never make the same mistake again). Thank you for giving me the chance to help for a bit in the beginning, I had a lot of fun, and I was very impressed by how you had it all clearly thought through and laid out from the start, all flavour written, chats made, roles rolled and so on; that was all great and showed diligence and foresight. The framework for this game was really well done.

b) I would suggest (to all game hosts & ICs, not just you) to be more proactive regarding prods & replacements. Boltur should have been prodded and replaced even if no one requested it, and BMC should have felt a boot in the butt more than once. You are the mod, you know who is posting or not, so don't wait for people to complain -- just prod the bastard. There are other schools of thought, but I think lurking kills games, and your role as mod (or IC) is to do all you can to prevent it or resolve it.

c) As I said over PM, I'm not myself familiar with the setting, but your flavour was well written, consistent, interesting, and gave a good framework for most roles and phases. I liked it a lot, and I am always appreciative of good flavour. Games need good flavour! It helps make games memorable, rather than roles and wincons and whatnot being a mere plot device. It was great this game, verbose and distinctive enough to make a difference and be appreciated, and I hope to see more good flavour from you when future opportunities come.

As for the game in general, it was well played by many, and enjoyable to follow. I hope to see the active players (on thread and on deadchat) on future games. I think the town worked hard enough to deserve at least the small victory of lynching one of the scum, and to be denied it by apathy was unfair. A shame that life ain't fair and all that... (but don't get me started on how lurking sucks and kills games; just be more active, please)

No one ever listens to Zathras, no. Quite mad, they say.  |  That ain't a shepherd.

Zathras hefts the corpse-of-webadict puppet and works its mouth: "I declare world peace! Yay! All hail Zathras!"
Everyone is handsomely rewarded, and lives happily ever after.  Except for Bookthras, who dies of poison in the night.

PotL:  Fun fact - I put in a mix CD I had made this morning because I wanted to listen to some Erasure (which, now that I think of it, is funny given the game's theme), and I realized I had TWEWY soundtrack on the same CD.

And, yeah, everything Bookthras said.

Thanks to both of you for the input, I'll be sure to keep it in mind!

Heh, now that is just awesome and ironic.
