The mayor's gone noble
« on: August 05, 2012, 08:53:30 am »

So, for the first time in my DF history, my mayor has made an impossible demand. He demands "Black bronze bed in throne room/office"! What should I do? My metalworkers are few and I don't want to lose any of them because of this.

You know you can just appoint another mayor, right?

Yes, just noticed the replace option. I thought that since he's elected, I can't interfere. But apparently dwarven democracy doesn't work that way :).

I don't believe anyone gets punised for a demand. A mandate is dangerous to ignore, but not a demand.

Yep, he will get an unhappy thought and that's it.

Oh? Well, his mandates and restrictions were irritating anyway. For instance, he mandated that my fort's main export product, mittens, could not be traded anymore. The new mayor is better in socializing too.
