Check your standing (o)rders and make sure you haven't turned off job cancellation announcements (at the very top, adjusted by pressing "x").

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Do you have coke and/or charcoal, or magma?  Also, make sure none of the required materials are forbidden.

I'm pretty sure you'd get a different symptom for it, but you might also want to check you haven't set (incorrect) permissions on who can use the furnace.

Are you using any third-party tools which might interact with workshop jobs (such as the DFHack "workflow" plugin)?

Yes tons of it in a stock pile right next to the furnace.

I have 3 and all set to permit all

They made them fine until they had 6 glass tables to make. Then they just stopped <_<;;

Found out the problem.

I had a defective glass furnace that suspended all projects soon as it got them. Deleted it and works fine now

If you still have a save with the problem, you may want to upload it to DFFD and post a bug report.  I know you have fixed it by deconstructing and rebuilding it, but it shouldn't have done that in the first place.

The spinning thought strikes krenshala in the head, bruising the brain through the thinning hair: Is was it set to only take from designated stockpiles?  If it was, and the required mats were in other stockpiles, that would have caused it.
