With Funk having no intention of posting after numerous warnings I have to say I need to open his slot to those in the waitlist.

I've already sent a message to RulerOfNothing, who is next in line to take over.

If he does not reply within 24hrs I'll move on to the next one. That said, if Funk makes the reply before anyone else took up the space I'd welcome him with open arms.

I Welcome Ruler of Nothing into the game. He can inherit Funk's yard or build a new one himself.

(note that if he inherits Funk's yard it is not a new identity so it will not get a new Altair III bonus)

Research:
Develop an engine that can be more cheaply and easily constructed than the standard engine, but does not lose much power (with the intention of losing no power)
Develop a laser weapon that is highly accurate.

Production:
Produce 5 Altair III's and sell them for 15 credits apiece.

The Majority owner of Sky Chariots Foundry, Robbet Stanton, was missing from the 1st October 2113. With wages not getting paid the workers acted quickly to expel Robbet Stanton and install Peter Harrell, former engineering manager, as the new CEO of this company. His first act is to rename it as Nova Spaceworks and he quickly stated that it would be a new chapter for this entity.

Its already 12:19am 7th here, so I guess I would just start with the bid results:

Docks: 8 bids received. Value of 6th bid is at 20 with a massive tie. After extensive deliberation (and dice rolls), the distribution is as follows:

Alteria x 1

Unbid persons will be still open to bids next turn. Now hopefully I can write up the turn tomorrow morning...

World Event: Migratory boom!

Big news as a certain nearby star A was determined to have a habitable planet. Well, almost, but pioneers sets up colony, and it soon grows into a city of 10000. Spaceship dealers reports increased sales as space-faring now becomes a real opportunity of landgrab, and people are now willing to invest fortunes into them as a kind of last escape from their home.

Newspaper said it is similar to what happened in the first half of 19th Century in America.

You will expect much better sales on cheap spaceships for the next 2 years. The Altair is a cheap spaceship by design.


Research:
-Work on an efficient Thorium Salts Thermonuclear Energy Generator. ThorSTEG for short (unfortunately I found no way to make it a Thor-S.T.E.E.L. acronym. Meh.) (those are fission generators, but safer and cheaper.)

Building:
Build 5 Altair III and sell them to the gov' at 20 creds a piece.

The idea of using a common power system is good in principle, but when testing a criticality incident sent you back to the drawing board. Not quite finished, yet.


Manufacture 5 Altair IIIs and sell them to that government for 20/unit.

Continue research on the new hull.
Name the newly researched engine MC-E-01.

Daniel Murray to design 2 modified Altair IIIs, one using the K-180, one the MC-E-01, instead of the basic engine.
Joanna Jackson to contact and negotiate with a rival government of the one which leaked and ordered the Altair IIIs. She is attempting to make a deal for an order of either or both of the modified Altair IIIs. (Name them AltairIIIA and Altair IIIB, if the name isn't copyrighted.)
All the research facilities are occupied by the hull prototype so modified Altairs will have to wait.
Danial murray continued to whip and wind up everyone in the lab.
([9][7]+1)=2 You finished the size 1 aluminium hull.
You start with the K-180 ([4][7][10!]+1)=24 It is still far from a finished product.
Joanna started to deal with undetermined difficulty ([9][1][3][8][4])+3)
You contacted a small country, which do not have any real access to the Hyperspace industry, but is willing to invest money into equipment.
They are willing to pay you 15 per Size 1 ship for at most 10 of them. Should be enough to keep you alive. Your home government seems to be uninterested for your dealing.


Development

Shelve the Oculus until we have more advanced technologies avaible
Timm De Bruijn: Develop a more advanced version, luxury edition of the Altair III. Integrate automation technology and any new tech available.

Research (Everyone else)

-> Hyperspace communicator
-> Hybrid rocket engines (capable of flying in space and athmosphere)
-> Carbonwaver alloy (Light, heat resistant, and cool looking. Pretty strong too, but hard to fabricate)
-> Micro Hyperdrive
-> Full automation protocols

Production

-> Produce 5 Altair III's to be sold to governement
Timm de Bruijn took the lab for his own, and everyone else sat out because of having nothing to do.

...wait a minute, the engine I researched isn't public domain right? So swordsmith would have to pay me to use it correct?

-Regardless, build 5 more Altairs, but try modding them with the new MC-E-101, and try to sell those to the government for a slightly increased price(25 a ship)

-Continue basic railgun research, as well as modular cargo bays

-Attempt another go at the Atlas, using the MC-E-101 engine and railguns for defense




This is not quite finished yet.
