DF Mini-game I made in an hour
« on: July 28, 2012, 07:48:30 pm »

So, I was bored and made a little DF minigame!

Unfortunately, if you aren't a member, you don't get access to the Flash player that makes things not look like absolute crap. And it's a kiddy programming language but I knew how to use it so here it is!

This is a link to it.

So, three pump operators stand at the bottom of the screen, pumping crap towards some candy floodgates. You use the 1, 2 and 3 keys to open the floodgates, revealing the magma within. If the crap should get melted, open the floodgate. Otherwise, keep it closed. Your reward is a score counter.

Anyway, here's the somewhat technical aspect for how the scoring works:
Every failure takes away a Happiness point, represented by a little dwarf in the bottom-right corner. Every success adds a number to a hidden gauge, which gives you a Happiness point when it's filled. At the beginning, one success is enough to fill this gauge, but the amount needed goes up as the game progresses (so you can't just leave it running and win infinite points).

Have fun and please forgive the godawful Java resizing!

EDIT: There's a little glitch where cats or kittens cause you to lose even if you burn them like you should. This accurately reflects DF and was intentional [<- lie].
