Since I couldn't watch the videos, what I got from it is that you bought a little piece of DF into real life with a robot that reflects a lot of attributes of a dwarf???

Yes. The name came second... It was originally a robot for a competition (in the video), that was so dwarfy it had to be named in honor of DF.
