metal compared to rock?

Do Dwarvers get more pleasure from metal furniture than rock? i.e. a bronze table to eat off is better than a granite?

In many cases yes, metal is better, but not always.  It depends on the specific metal and the specific stone.  Dwarves respond to value.  You can check which materials are worth what here.

Encrusting furniture with gems or studding them with metal will further increase the value of your tables and coffers.
