Is there no longer ''battlefields'' scattered around the landscape?

there used to be back in 40d i belive, you would randomly ffind 7 dead humans along with some goblins and it was really awesome. i havnt seen any in a LONG Time now. i was just Wondering.

Underground, you could find some dead kobolds or some dead humans pretty easily

I think with addition of saving items on embark tiles of map you can stumble into a battlefield of your previous adventurers.
