Kobold eggs

So, i was sent on a quest to kill a female kobold.
When i found her she was completely naked, and had no weapons at all.
At the back of her cave, i found 2 kobold eggs laying on a rope reed fiber cape studded with iron.

Is this normal, and have you guys experienced it before?

Sounds like a normal quest to kill a Were-beast. Sometimes egg laying Humanoids that are female will have eggs, nothing really spectacular about that.

Lairs tend to have things asociated with the owner.
Kobolds lay eggs.

Its not that far-fetched, though I doubt very much that they will ever hatch.

Lol, found my new ingame hobby, gathering rare kobold eggs, and killing kobolds for the eggs to be even rarer. :D

I tried, no effect.
Then i tried lighting them on fire, they just burned up.
