Trapped Kobolds.

Through totally unintentional blind luck, I have caught both a male and female kobold thief in cage traps. They stumbled onto my traps while they were injured from engaging my civilian dwarves and now I have them in some lovely wooden cages in my stockpile. What would be the dwarfiest thing to do with them? I'm thinking something along the lines of breeding them for eggs or bones but I don't know how I would go about doing something like that.

Kobold breeding program, put them in a little room and seal it off.

Put glass/gem windows around first so that adventurers and dwarfs can see the trapped kobolds' descendants packed into a tiny room :3

Weaponise them!

Build a danger room and train them up to legendary levels of badass koboldery,  if they can breed (not sure about civ captives..) then also train any offspring!   construct an arena-like trap room invading forces must pass through, where you will release your kobold minions, but also have a way of re-capturing afterwards.

EDIT:  since kobolds have sticky fingers,  you could test some SCIENCE and see if dropping valuable armour/weapons in will cause them to equip them...

Kobolds! A whole army of them! A few modifications and you have an unlimited supply of those tiny thieflings.
