strange mood materials

is there any way,maybe with dfhack, that i can see, what my mason actually wants for his strange mood?

he pictures: a forest, shining bars of metal, stacked cloth, a quarry, rough gems.
and im pretty sure i have all those things.
i have: gold/iron/steel bars, rope reed fiber cloth and sheep wool cloth, microcline and what not as stone, a mass on logs and around 20 uncut gems.
so i really dont know, what he wants, it's all there. i could upload the save, since i dont really want to lose that dwarf (he is not special, but i want an artifaaact :P )

By process of elimination he wants silk cloth.  The same "stacked cloth" can indicate any of the three types, and you only have two.

You might be able to save him by setting standing orders for workshops to automate web collection, then breaking into the caverns, but I wouldn't hold my breath.  In the future, try to trade in at least one bin of any kind of cloth you don't produce in house, and set it aside instead of making clothes/bags/whatever out of it.

thx. i thought it wouldnt matter what kind of cloth i had.
breached the caves, now he is collecting all the materials, yay

http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/Strange_mood#Demands can tell you what each of the demand possibilities means, though it won't do anything to distinguish between identical demand lines for different items.

'showmood' command with DFHack, if I remember correctly.
