Quick question about making a fort on an Island. And Magma Forges.

Alright, so I embarked on an Island that is 1 world tile large, my question is, am I safe from invaders, traders, and migrants?

And secondly, how do magma forges work, do you just make it, and channel magma into it?

Your safe from everything that is not your civ.

You get a 7/7 pool of magma UNDERNEATH the magma forge.

Ahhhh, k, thanks, i felt so lucky when i found this on my embark screen, tiny island with volcano.

and then you find out all the titans in the world are stuck on the tiny island

I just floor over the volcano, then build a house above it. Bam, instant smelting room.

there is a little bug where items teleport to places that you deconstruct a floor. If the tile you deconstruct is above magma, this might be a problem, so plan ahead

If you have no land that borders to the edge of the screen you'll be free from those pesky dwarven traders too ;)
