Going from 10+ companion cap down to 3.

After my 10 followers got slaugthered, my follower cap suddeltly dropped back down to 3, why is this?

You now have a reputation for getting your followers slaughtered. Not many people would join such a person in his/her adventures.

Necromancy doesn't have a companion limit.
