I got this game recently and played for a few hours, it's not bad but it feels repetitive.
The loot system is similar to Diablo2/3 but there's also vendor trash ("valuables") and crafting ingredients.
Movement on the map is similar to fallout1/2, with semi-random encounters (plus some scripted).
Levelling up is capped until you spend some Kr (Krowns ?) on training, but it doesnt feel really restrictive, as i could train almost instantly after hitting rank(level) 5. I'm still using the same 3 guys from the beggining btw, since i tend to grow attached to my characters. The difficulty levels (easy/normal/hardcore) don't seem to do much, as far as i understand it doesnt change hp or damage values, only stuff related to permadeath and injuries.
On that note, unless the difficulty ramps up quite a lot, i don't see myself dying anytime soon, since you need to be KO'd 3 times to get an injury and 3 injuries to die. So far I had 2 KOs, but since you can heal KOs in town so that you don't get an injury, it's not likely that i'll ever have to replace a character. It seems possible, however, to skip side quests and get into higher level content which makes things harder.
Overall, it's a nice little dungeon crawler but i'm not sure how long it'll stay interesting, it's like there's a little something missing. The lore and story seem well thought, but not a big part of the gameplay. My attempts at crafting were mostly stopped by the lack of key ingredients that i didnt know how to get. I'll keep playing and maybe write another post when i'm deeper into the game.
Edit : oh and i forgot to add that i have a hard time understanding what is being said in the cinematics. Subtitles would have been nice.
