A problem with a door
« on: June 25, 2012, 01:23:53 am »

So I had a goblin siege whose participants are now deceased, one of which is dead in a door way. But my dwarves have not dumped or moved the corpse. I do not know how what I am doing wrong.

Yeah, door clogging is rather unfortunate... Is there a refuse pile that accepts corpses, or is the corpse forbidden? Is it set to be dumped, and are there a ton of other sockgasm hauling jobs active from the siege? A civ alert burrow still active? Those are some of the more frequent problems... it's really aggravating when they ignore stuff like this, and suddenly an ambush is in the dining room.

Is the door above ground or underground? Inside or outside?

If the door is outside, then by default, dwarfs won't pick up rubbish from outside. To change this, you can press "o" for orders, "r" for refuse, then "o" to set the option to "dwarves gather refuse from outside". Then they should pick it up and dump it.

The problem was that the door was outside. They are now doing there dwarfy little jobs as it should be.
