Bronze Colossi in adventure mode
« on: June 14, 2012, 11:01:41 am »

So, recently I got back into DF, skipping straight to DF2012 from 23a.

After some screwing around in Adventure and Arena mode, I got an idea. Namely, wanting to play as something a bit more stupidly overpowered as an adventurer.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So...your thoughts on this terrible idea? Any suggestions? Should I retire a whole group of these big bastards in the nearest town, start up another adventurer, and raise up an army?

Why? It's not like you need more than one to steamroll entire civilizations.

I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

I made a man made from steel twice as big as a dragon with lots of fun interactions. It's much more fun to play as.

Because if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing.

Beware of thrown fluffy wamblers.

If anything I've learned to fear lashers and ranged units. Even a Colossus isn't immune to getting limbs carved off by some random bandit with a scourge. D:

Tempting. I did try my hand at modding in other creatures, wanting to go even more over the top.

If I had my way there'd be Adamantine Colossi too.
