Seriously guys let's not make the whole thread about charties and wether you think their work is meaningless. I like Child's Play and I think they do some fanastic work. I also believe that Africa is never going to develop unless the rest of the world defaults on their debts, no matter how much money you think you're giving to starving children.

On a different note, massive spoilers about Bastion's ending because I want to talk about it:

So Bastion had one of the few decissions in a video game where I had to take my hands off my mouse and just sit there and ponder it. The dicission of course was the ending and what the kid should do with the core. 

Either reset the world to the time before the calamity or use the Bastion to "set sail" and wander the lands looking for suvivours. I thought it was a no-brainer at first, reset the world and save everyone! However, when that old man said that there's a chance the whole thing wouldn't happen again I really had to reconsider. What if next time around there's no kid... ?

So yeah, I set sail. Although a terrible thing happen and so many died, in my eyes humanity should be forced to endure those mistakes so they can learn the mistakes of the past. A game actually taught be something about what kind of person I am. The kind of person who wouldn't have stopped Hitler or the atomic bomb, I would have spoken against them of course if I lived at the time, but travelling back in time to stop something because you have prior knowledge about what's going to happen isn't going to help society at all and we'll just force us to keep repeating the same mistakes over and over.
I guess it's one of those terrible "for the greater good" scenarios.

Also that scene with Zulf is one of the most beautiful scenes I've seen in video game. Combining gameplay, music and a narrative into one truly unforgettable experience.

I chose to reset the world to before the calamity.  It was a hard decision, but in my mind, I thought " Well, it might not work, but the chance to save so many people just seems like something too big to not risk.

I chose to save the guy and search for survivors, because, as I understood what was said, you may not remember everything that happened when you chose to reset time and, if that was the case, who knows how many times this story has already repeated itself? Choosing to go out and explore the world may have condemned the past, but it gave an avenue to the future.

Recently picked up this, great selection of games. I finished Bastion not too long ago it's a really beautiful game, I feel like I've got my $8~ worth already!

Does anyone know if lone survivor is any good, because I've already got Braid and Super Meat boy and I don't want to use a steam key (That's for all three) just for one game.

It's good. You could try the demo of it. The rest of the game is pretty much like the demo; or at least it is as far as I've gotten.

I don't understand what everyone's obsession with Steam is. I just downloaded and installed the games alone, without the Steam keys. Playing the game without needing to use Steam is preferable to me.

I did the same, so far I have bought all of the Humble Bundles and I just do the direct install option thingy. But I can also understand if some guys prefer to have kind of like a indie steam collection or a library  of indie games, which is kinda neat if you ask me. Let's see what the HB 6 will bring us!

It's good. You could try the demo of it. The rest of the game is pretty much like the demo; or at least it is as far as I've gotten.

I prefer to put all the games on Steam because that way I don't have to keep going to a browser to download the games (I tend to download/play one at a time). Also, for me anyway, it's easier having all your games in one location.

I also chose to set sail pretty much every time I played.  Play through the Terminals level a second time, Rucks says something very interesting when you're in the terminals that you might not notice the first time you're there.  It's something along the lines of... "I get the feeling this has already happened once before..."  So yeah, implies really hard that choosing to reset just begins the cycle of destruction over again and the only way out is to set sail.  Pretty harsh message, but a good one.
