diagonal movement

I'm currently navigating some catacombs, and I've reached a part which can only be crossed by diagonal movement. How do I move diagonally?

8 2 4 6, I think.

The Numlock Keys allow you to move and attack. Starting at 5, each key in the direction away with it will move you in that associated direction. IE, if you hit 7 you'll move Northwest and if you hit 2, you'll move due South. Hitting 5 while there is an enemy underneath you (or over you) will allow you to attack that creature.
