Color me excited.
Im guessing obsidian farms are about to become more efficient. Hell, everything is gonna be so very much more efficient.
Though will animals born from a leashed animal and then assigned to a pasture, be moved to the leash afterwards? In other words, will the player-set pasture overwrite the "be with mother" pasture? Im gonna guess that yes.
And I very much apreciate this:

Hell yes.  This will make artificial forests much more efficient to dig out, and reduce the micromanagement nuisance of rearing wild and domestic animals.

Listen up: making a thing a ‼thing‼ doesn't make it more awesome or extreme.  It simply indicates the thing is on fire.  Get it right or look like a silly poser.

It's useful to keep a ‼torch‼ handy.

I won't lie. I thought this was referring to a useful way to deal with dwarven children at first. Then I realised how absurd that would be. Everyone knows those bastards exist to cause you pain  ;)

That should be a new type of project, making a rug design in dwarf fortress (With accurate coloring)

My one hunter who chased an owl into a forest fire (thanks, dragon) would have appreciated that one. On the other hand, his head and upper body are now totally free of fat, and isn't that worth a couple months of excruciating pain?
