depths of the world ?
« on: May 26, 2012, 01:33:40 pm »

I was checking out a vampire in legends view and it said he made a couple of trips to the "depths of the world". Anyone know what that's all about? sounds interesting.

Dig deeper.

You find something called the caverns.

That's the depths of the world for everyone who's not a Dwarf, because only Dwarves dig deeper.

Yup.

I remember one I had who made multiple trips to the "depths of the world." First time he tamed giant toads, and each other trip was taming something else. Then he became the lawgiver of a human civ, so no more adventuring for him.

Not at all. Most of those kills will be through feeding, and basically drinking them dry as they sleep (which, as someone who has played a vampire for a while now, is actually harder than it sounds, but still offers no skill). It's not unusual, in particularly long history worlds, to have vampires with hundreds of thousands of kills.

I usually don't have the patience to generate worlds older than 2 or 3 hundred years. This dwarf was like 60 years old.

1. I've seen two people get goblin generals who tamed cave dragons. Lucky.
2. SEVERAL HUNDRED THOUSAND BEFORE SPONTANEOUS EXPLOSION.

Once worldgen gets edited to run after finishing, I wonder if it would be possible for someone to tame a clown by digging into HFS then abandonding.
