I tried giving each of them a pouch that they own and that's in their inventory, but they just store them. Would adding them to the entity make a difference? At least in adventure mode humans have sort of used them, but that's obviously vastly different from fortress mode.

Is there a similar gamemechanism that you can borrow from? Do they store anything else? Mostly I try to find something to piggyback on.
