Forbidden workshops on reclaim
« on: May 17, 2012, 06:28:41 pm »

Okay, this one is weird. I reclaimed a dead fortress, and all the workshops are labeled 'forbidden'. Anyone know how to unforbid them? or at least have a way to get rid of them so i can replace them?

The same way you unforbid everything else in the fortress - reclaim it!

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Wow that was dumb of me, didn't think to look at the buildings with T, rather than trying to work with them. *facepalm*

You can also use the Reclaim designation - (d)(b)(c) - and reclaim entire areas of the fortress rather than individual items. In fact, in earlier versions of Dwarf Fortress (back in the 2D versions, to be specific), this was the only way you could reclaim things.
