Quick question about in-game music...
« on: May 23, 2012, 08:20:53 pm »

I am currently using the Phoebus tileset (I get ill looking at ASCII all day, not much I can do :() and with the new version I noticed my in-game music has gone AWOL. Before the big update I was using the Lazy Newb Pack to adjust a few settings, like the intro movie and framerate display, but I'm not sure if the music missing is because of this.

Is this normal for the version now? And if not, how do I get the music back, without taking off my tileset?

:P

You could also do as I do as a challenge and play the game while playing the song on guitar.

:P

Well I figured out part of my question: the tileset is interfering somewhat with the sound.

And I guess it wont matter much if i play the song there :P and I can't play guitar... and I haven't played bassoon in YEARS...

Check data\init\init.txt and make sure that it has [SOUND:YES] in it.  Some tile set distributions have sound turned off by default.

Ah sweet...

First time making a venture into these files, I'm not familiar at all with computer programming / adjusting program parameters.
