Replacing bins and bags for aesthetic purposes
« on: May 16, 2012, 09:38:42 am »

I have an issue. small one to be sure. I have come across a large amount of tin, zinc and copper on my map. I have enough iron and flux to make nice steel armor for my militia. I would like to replace the wooden bins and barrels i have been using with my freshly forged tin barrels and zinc bins. I have been hesitant to just dump the bins, because it may dump the items inside. How does one safely replace old and busted, with new and shiny with a minimum of fuss and bother? Also, when one embroiders? a trader purchased bag, does it then become the orange color of a home made item, or stay the ugly white of purchased? thanks for any assistance.

when you decorate a foreign item, the parethesis that denote it wasn't home made disappear, and it is added to fortress wealth instead of imported wealth.  Its text also changes color.

Regarding the wooden bins, try dumping one while keeping the contents forbidden.
