I just noticed the wiki showed a new version and lo-and-behold there is a new version out today!

I am just wondering if updating the game would break my current worlds/save. I'd like to make some mine carts in my current fort, if possible.

You'll be fine. I had to fix my Keybindings and the Graphics, but other than that it was smooth. Unlike my gore filled minecart tracks...

Hm... What do you mean by the graphics?

Do you mean graphic settings stored in the init files or like a graphics pack like Ironhand?

Nevermind; I'll bet it was a combination of the init and colors files. I will just back those up to copy over after installing the new version.

Keep in mind that you can't just overwrite the new d_init.txt file with an old one because there are some new settings in it now for tracks and hauling.

If you're using a graphics pack then it's a bit more complicated than that.  You'll need to grab the latest version of the graphics pack for v0.34.08 and install it properly to get all of the new changes.

I suggest you stay with the old version until the bugs and stuff are fixed.  Playing without therapist or dfhack is hell.  I tried the new version and I can't get my guys to put more than 1 thing, in one barrel, into their wheel barrel which makes no sense
