An artifact steam engine
« on: April 11, 2012, 02:18:29 pm »

This is the kind of steam engine dwarves should build, if they built them.  It's also how I imagine dwarven artifacts being - made from gems and precious metals and with parts shaped like dragons just because.

That is cool :D Is it actually functional?
It could use more menacing spikes though :P

That is a beautiful machine. That guy has talent! I wonder if it actually works, though...

There's a video of it running on the page.  It doesn't have a boiler, so you need to connect it to an external source of steam or compressed air.

Wow, awesome :D

Also, holy crap, his next project is a steampunk hawk that shoots bolts. Yeah, he's clearly an escaped dwarf.

Someone should do a description of it!

This is a silver steam engine.  All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.  It is made from silver.  This object is adorned with an amethyst dome and a ball of fine gold, studded with Sandawana emeralds and Tanzanian cinnamon sapphires, and gilded with gold foil.
On the item is an image of two dragons in silver.  The two dragons are striking a menacing pose.  On the item is an image of a baby dragon in red jasper and lapis lazuli.  The baby dragon is spinning.  On the item is a cylinder in quartz.  On the item is a crank in silver.  The cylinder and crank are reciprocating.
