Next they'll discover that the Opossum has a mutant healing factor of 12, and within 5 years we'll manage to do what centuries upon centuries of attempts couldn't: wipe out the Opossum.

Seriously though that's badass. I've always respected those little bastards despite not really wanting them around, and now I respect them even more.

But sometimes he's run over.

My grandmother once ran over a opossum when I was around 6 or 7. My cousin (same age) was in the car with me, and asked my grandma if it was going to be OK. Before she could finish saying she wasn't sure, I said "She just ran the thing over, and it probably got run over by the 5 or 6 cars behind us, so the thing is probably dead and splattered across the road" hehehe. Good times. Thanks for reminding me about this Duuvian.
