How do you settle with Humans/Elves?

At 1:00, everywhere he goes, he finds small places where he can settle in, but for me, I find huge gigantic towns and I'm enemies with them. Can someone help please?? :(

Look at 0:02

There's your problem. Download that version and you'll be fine or you could get Embark Anywhere which still works with the most recent one but the towns aren't 3x3 in the current. =\

Go to the modding forum, click on the Community Mods and Utilities thread, scroll down to Just Embark, click, download. It's the same as the old Embark Anywhere.
