I will join the work to repair the power systems. If we have the ability I want to lay some cable and electrify the gate and fence.

Eagle eye, maybe look for a refining or production area, I would assume the ship is equipped to help us continue to build, not really stocked with much more then a few months worth of supplies.

well, we need some sort of base camp before we can go mining, and there's no guarantee of any useful wood-like substance here.

Darius had given up on walking now, so he quickly called someone, "Go and find Jormund, I'd like to find out what happened, and see if the scientists can get any idea of the natural behavior of these natives fromthe corpse?"

Lets get a detailed report from the hunting party.
Jorund gives his recount of the native ambush then heads back to the reactor and begins rerouting the ship wiring to electrify the entrances. He then heads to his tube and sleeps the night.

Sorry about the absence.
Jormund tells you about these creatures, and how they fight. You believe you can hold the fort against these things. You unearth the supply room, finding many of the items to be crushed, 37 heavy tools are there, for mining cutting trees etc, 600 steel panels, 4 of the "secret" generic workshops remain, you can choose one function, a broad one like metalworking will have a forge, a refinery etc... and some other loose odds and ends like clothes and the like. Trifies, is there anything you wold like to say while the leaders are gathered?

Well we should use the steel to seal up the holes in the ship and then start expanding into a settlement.

Each workshop can perform a function yes?
If so then I think we need to get to work setting up a Hi-Tech workshop, Metalworking shop, General manufacturing shop, and a Bio lab.  With this setup we should be able to:
  • produce nanites helpful to us, sensors, communications equipment, computers, etc.
  • produce the raw materials needed for manufacturing and the building materials needed to grow the colony
  • create the tools and equipment we will need in order fore our colony to survive and thrive
  • bio-engineer bacteria, viruses, flora, and fauna that will be helpful as well
The bio lab will prove especially helpful in optimizing local food crops to suit our needs, optimizing our livestock for the local environment, change the biology of the soil to enhance crop yields, and possibly create biological weapons that we can use to eliminate hostile life.  General manufacturing should allow us to produce more tools and possibly vehicles. Combined with the Hi-Tech workshop, it should also allow us to produce more workshops and the hi-tech equipment needed to sustain our colony.  We will also be able to produce reconnaissance drones and learn more about our planet while also keeping an eye on the natives.  Nanites ought to help with repairs to the ship and with other small/complex systems.  Getting more equipment and prospecting out the planet should help us get our hands on something we can use as concrete.  Then we can build without worry of attack from under our feet.

We are going to need to drill wells for water or lay pipes to the river.  We must also start on a sustainable food supply.

Long term we are going to need to put satellites in orbit.  Weather sats to predict and prepare for adverse weather, spy sats to observe the surface, comm sats to stay in touch with our people as we spread across the planet, and defense sats to keep our people safe.  We are also going to want to create a landing field for future ships to arrive.  That is going to have to be concrete.  Then we will want a space station in order to better facilitate trade with our space-faring allies.

Stefan relays the above plan to his fellow leaders.
