Friendly/useful ghosts
« on: April 20, 2012, 06:43:04 am »

So in DF 2010 i had a fisherdwarf murdered, his ghost appeared in a wall by the river and didnt move for a couple years. well i noticed something weird, in his inventory he had 2 mussels, at one point he started moving around. well guess what he kept gathering more and more fish, and i found if you marked them for dump my dwarves would come get them. so yay i had a fisherdwarf ghost who could pass through walls and bring me fishies during a siege lol. So has anyone ever had anything like this before?

Haha, sounds like a nice bug!

It would make more sense if he sat fishing a lot but didn't ever catch anything. Being a ghost and all.

Dwarven blood types are not A, B, AB, O but Ale, Wine, Beer, Rum, Whisky and so forth.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

But it should be easy enough not to use them in a way you feel is dumb while letting other people have their hilarity.

A dwarf who continues his vital role within the fortress out of a sense of duty, even from beyond the icy grip of death? Its not a bug, its a feature!

or maybe Valve goes out of business because they invested too heavily in something which then fails - like, say, human civilization.
Alternatively, initiate strife to refuse additional baked goods, and then abscond.
