Em, upright spear traps with wooden training spears, linked to the lever with mechanisms and it should work without anyone getting injured

@Gaybarowner
Just to be clear, you have built upright spike traps loaded with weapons, linked a lever to them, made the soldiers stand on the spikes, and then pulled the lever? It will not work if any of these steps is neglected...

@Tolisk
If your soldiers are wearing at least leather armor all over and you've only loaded the traps with *TRAINING* weapons, then you should hardly see any injuries at all; I think the worst I've ever seen is a broken toe. They will maim or kill civilians in civilian clothing, though...

I plinked a baby, once in a danger room.  Little fella survived, and got a legendary toughness, as a result of all the hospital time.  Then he died of a failed mood.  Ugg.  I had high expectations for that lil fella... Oh well.  (FUN).

I never got a dwarven casualty with training weapons for the danger room. Got plenty of dead babies and pets but.
