Containers in Adventure Mode

I am looking up the containers on the DF wiki to see their item/weight limits so I can find the right containers to store things in and not get "you do not have a suitable container for that" all the time.

However, it seems that the limits differ from Adventure and Fortress mode. According to the wiki, a backpack can only hold 3 things; I have at least 30 things in my backpack in Adventure mode.

Love this game, but inventory management is a pain in the ass XD

Anything that you pick up when you have both hands full gets put in your backpack. What you'll want to get is a second backpack or a coffer

I know that much (that items go into your pack when hands are full), but I like to carry my coins and things to sell in their own containers so I can just drop them in the abandoned house where I live.
