Yeah, for the site I'm looking at right now it says that one of my Neighbors is "Town". What does this mean?

Town, Tower, and Mountain Hall are all necromancer owned properties. Means you'll have a dead siege in a few years.

Not to answer, but rather to expand the question -

I had the trio (tower, mountain hall and town) on my list as neighbours as well, but once I left the tower range, the town and mountain hall dissapeared as well, no matter what direction I tried it from. Are the town and mountain hall therefore forced to the nearby tower radius only, or can they have their own interaction range?

They can have their own interaction range, but it is usually smaller, and can be blocked by things like mountains, creating spots in the radius that they arent considered your neighbor.

A tower has a range of ~10, where a town or hall is ~5-8.
