I'd actually like a clarification on how IQ is calculated, and Player Accuracy is done. Thanks in advance
As in how to calculate the character's actual IQ from their IQ attribute? Or how to generate the attribute?
The character's actual IQ shown on page 49 is based on a sliding scale of distribution by population. It's been a long time since I assigned the values in that chart so. . . I guess I don't really have a good answer for that. I'd assume you're trying to find a value that's somewhere in between the attribute values, if so it's okay to use some GM's discretion and fudge a number, they're only there for reference and to give a benchmark that players would be able to relate to. If it's real important I could try and see if there was some way of calculating it.
I think you probably understand how to generate the attributes (roll 1d6 x 10 for each attribute). There are
two other methods that we've been using more recently.
The character's accuracy, if you mean physically is based on the Agility attribute. If you take a look at the skills, they help understand what each attribute is used for. Say a character has a Agility of 30. When a player rolls a 1d100, they check to see if they rolled under their attribute. If they did, they can scan their fraction columns (in this case Half = 15 Quarter = 8 Eighth = 4) if they rolled under any of them, any defender has to at least match the column rolled to evade an attack. So say I rolled a 12, I would have rolled my half and the defender would have to at least roll their half if they were trying to dodge.
Hope I answered the question, if not, let me know and I can try again.
