If i mod a race to not have certain clothes...
« on: April 06, 2012, 12:19:16 am »

Playing a version of Kobold Camp I updated to the newest version, but for some reason they don't have shoes by default, none spawn with it and I can't make it. If I remove shoes from the list of things they CAN have, will they stop being embarassed? I'd prefer they keep their robes/coats/loincloths but they are supposed to be tribal, and I prefer if they had no shoes.

And don't say wait for a goblin siege, my saves don't make it that far due to tantrums from shoeless 'bolds.

I deleted all the [SHOE_X] and gloves tags, but will they get negative thoughts?

Yes, creatures get negative thoughts if they have uncovered upper body, lower body, or stance body parts, even if their entity has no clothes to wear or even if they cannot wear clothing.

You could give them moccasins or something like that for footwear. That would be relatively primitive-ish. Of course, people have apparently been wrapping their feet in stuff for 5300 years and probably longer, so shoes may not be unrealistic for primitive tribal people to have.

As long as there is something on the stance (feet), upper body (torso), and lower body (leg) body parts, they'll get no unhappy thoughts. Gloves are unnecessary, as is headwear. You could have socks or shoes or both and they'd be satisfied, so as long as you have shoes you don't need socks.

I suddenly wonder if a creature will get unhappy thoughts for not wearing shoes after amputating the feet

Plant cloth sandals seem pretty darn primitive to me.
