Alright, so Funcom is working on an MMO based on various conspiracies, where players play agents of either the Knights Templar, the Illuminati or the Dragon, fighting each other and all sorts of supernatural entities in a Secret War for World Domination in modern times. I'm personally a sucker for stories like these so once again I'll get suckered into an MMO.

There's also a rather spammy Facebook game going on, called The Secret War, which opens up for various rewards for The Secret World MMO including ingame weaponry and early beta access. Currently I have a rather annoying mission of recruiting 5 people to the game and I was hoping some of you guys might want to check it out, or at least help me out.

Knights Templar, the Illuminati

Does this have something to do with the Anders Breivik mythology? 2083 and all that?

I haven't really bothered reading up on Breivik's particular brand of insanity so I wouldn't know.
I really doubt anyone's trying to market their AAA MMORPG on the delusions of a mass-murderer though...

Well that's odd, I did a search for "Secret World" and nothing came up...

I suppose I'm techically advertising the spammy facebook game rather than the MMO itself in this thread though
