Dwarves wont put on armour

Ive allocated some dwarves into the militia, and set equipment to metal. Then i got some in trade from my pappa civ.

But for some reason, unlike every other version of df i have ever played they are not claiming any of the armour.

Anyone else having this problem? Got a work around?

All right it seems they were not claiming anything until the caravan left. Or some other bizarre reason. Sorted

If only i knew how to just out right delete redundant posts.
