Were-Traders
« on: April 02, 2012, 06:26:33 am »

I had my first were-beast today. The were-pig appeared on the map right next to where the winter caravan was leaving and attacked. He managed to bite a few and absolutly maul one swordwarf. They killed him, then promptly left the map (this had been right at the edge). So are they infected? Next time the caravan comes are they all going to become were-pigs? Or even worse, are they going to infect the rest of my civilization?

1. Possibly.
2. No.
3. No, but I don't see what's so bad about a civilization of Dwarfbearpigs

Do you mean that second no as in 'they dont come at full moon' or 'they are not werebeasts'?

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Are the caravan guards the same people they were last time? I mean, they could just be some randomly generated grunts each time they appear with the caravan..

From the thread’s title I was expecting something completely different.

The were-trader Urist McDodgyDeals has come. A hideous merchant twisted into humanoid form. It has a long overcoat and it squirms and fidgets. Beware its knock-off merchandise.

“Hey kid, you wanna buy a watch?”

Thanks to the bug that causes individuals to lose their position when they leave the map, you will probably never see those traders again.  At least, not as traders.  You might get them back as immigrants someday, I had a former outpost liaison show up in an immigrant wave.

Lets just hope that the twisted part is due to were-ism and not one of my escaped minions.
