Best height for a drop tower?

What is the best height if you want body parts flying everywhere and blood gushing all over the ground?

Dig all the way to HFS, remove undiggable from slade, dig until the game refuses to let you, then build a tower from the bottom of HFS.

I tried to make a suicide tower for my fortress, so I could get rid of unwanted dwarves. It was only 10z levels, so the first suicide attemptee survived with broken legs, but they were trapped in a pit and crawled around in severe pain for a season then died of dehydration.

:( Dwarf Fortress makes me feel like a monster sometimes.
