What do I do with this thing, and other large gems for that matter. I am playing masterwork so I could put it in a case. But if this can serve a valid function I'd like to know. Wiki only says HOW to get a large gem, not what they can actually be used for.

Also: Eerienesssteely, a Drake Scale Bag. Will my dwarves get good thoughts from using it to collect sand? Or do I case it?

Imagine the will it took to create a fortress like this. And what have you elves built? Nothing. You can only loot and break. You're not dwarves!! You're just termites at Versailles.

It's not that I don't suffer, it's that I know the unimportance of suffering, I know that pain is to be fought and thrown aside, not to be accepted as part of one's soul and as a permanent scar across one's view of existence.

The only possible use for it is in a display case.  Large gems can't be used for anything other than trade goods, and you can't trade artifacts.

The bag has the virtue of never wearing out, being an artifact.  You can also build a bag as furniture to increase the value of a room.

Ambiguitysilence is the DF equivalent of Thorin's Arkenstone.  Its a nice decorative piece that a bunch of kings fought a war on Thorin's lawn for. ;) [to loosely interpret what happened]

Zepave Dawnhogs the Butterfly of Vales the Marsh Titan ... was taken out by a single novice axedwarf and his pet war kitten. Long Live Domas Etasastesh Adilloram, slayer of the snow butterfly!
Doesn't quite have the ring of heroics to it...
Mother: "...and after the evil snow butterfly was defeated, Domas and his kitten lived happily ever after!"
Kids: "Yaaaay!"

Correction. Eerienesssteely is a BACKPACK not a bag. Give it to a military dwarf I guess.....
Also, I like the fact that its made from reptile skin and sounds like something a snake would say. Three s's in a row. EEEEREEEEENESSSSSSSSTEEEEELEEEEEEEEE
