ok, i usually play on 200 year history worlds at a minimum, so i dont know if it shows up on very short history worlds

oh and i did forget something, vampires are higily likely to have VERY high social skills

look for who qualifies for mayor, if someone is has everything near maxed for mayor canidate, it could be a vampire, it's not a sure thing, but it's a good indicator

the "has the appearance of a x year old person" line also i believe only happens for vampires

Lies, I get that on worlds with very short history.

It happens whenever someone is older than the world -- the only times I would find it suspicious would be:

• Listed age > [MAXAGE]
• Listed age < the current year number

looks like girlinhat is getting another point on her paranoia card.
But, if it isn't jewelry made from sentients and they have of non-impossible age (like Phoenix said, above max age for dwarves to be alive) the dwarf in question is probably just one that got a lot of animal kills and took a bunch of trophies.

If you must, though, keep an eye on the dwarf in question and see if it gets hungry, thirsty, or tired. If that dwarf never gets any of them, it is a vampire.
