I'm having a problem with naked babies running amok in my fort.  34.06  Mayor's room keeps getting smashed up.  I'm about to the point of building a room I'll call "The Ball Pit" that will be connected to a water pump and sending all my children to the Great Chuck E Cheese in the sky.

Anyhoo, I keep getting "Report Crime" actions from the children smashing stuff and punching people, and I have a hammerer and a captain of the guard plus some restraints and metal cages set up for justice.  But I can't figure out how to send the lil' bastards to jail.  Nothing on the 'z'->justice menu.  I've never setup a justice system before, but my last forts tantrum spiral inspired me to try.

Are children immune to justice?  Or am I missing something in my setup?

Babies are supposed to be naked.  Dwarves don't clothe themselves until they become children.  At that point, you'd better have plenty of spare clothing ready for them, or they will be ashamed of their nakedness, and of their lack of shoes, and of their lack of a shirt (all at the same time), and probably end up dying (either by going berserk, or by going melancholy).

'Twas especially bad when I upgraded a fairly mature fortress to 0.34.06, because it happened for all the children at the same time.  I lost at least a dozen of 'em.

Just ran into this for the first time a few hours ago (with children). I had some spare clothing sitting around but I had a couple of kids complaining about being 'uncovered' (I assume thats pants? Please correct me if wrong.) And having my leatherworker make clothing out of the very few hides I had just resulted in the other adults grabbing them and piling the extra clothes in their tombs. Finally I killed the elven caravan and unforbid all the clothing, no more problems.
