NOTE:
I searched before posting this, but no threads seem to post this idea.

So, the idea is basicly, you could have molten metal that cools down and becomes for example a 'metal lump'.

Also, metal should not dissapear when evaporating, unless it leaves the map at the top/side. it should again cool down again and become something like a metal lump, if toady adds in some other artificial way of heating things, you could make traps whit this.

So, watcha think?

they wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the raving confessions of a mass murdering cannibal from a recipe to bake a pie.
Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

The fact that vaporizing objects is a way to completely remove them from memory, and as such, restore FPS, is one of those major ways in which FPS is maintained in long-term forts, so I would have to say the minor unrealism is worth the not having to abandon forts for FPS reasons.

Ah, i didnt realize.
On the other hand, he could 'fix' that atom smashed things or things that the carvans, thiefs etc take off the map remain in memory half (or such), thus decreasing fps.
Anyway, thanks for your critisism.

If I recall right, you can just 'k' it then 'm'elt it. Go to your smelter, 'a' 'o' and some dwarf will go and melt it.

I think this suggestion deals with the fact that molten bronze currently does disappear and is trying to make it stop disappearing.
