Basically any Paradox game: "But dude, like there's like no grafiks or anything, it's just numbers and shit. There's no fighting or call of duty guns or anything! Shit's boring dawg!" FUCK you... Same thing for DF to the 10th power.

To put it simply, Dwarf Fortress is the Black Metal of video games.

Star Ruler.

Me trying to explain it to a friend (roughly): "Well, see, you start on one planet, then you go colonize an entire galaxies worth of planets. As well as fighting the computer players, who are cheating bastards, researching technology that goes far into science fiction territory, building ships that are as big as a moon planet sun solar system galaxy, if not bigger depending on your tech level, and making sure that space pirates that don't go arr and are complete assholes don't kill your planets. Also, making planets into one man war/production machines because you attach big ass thrusters to them. Also, making a carrier that can carry a ship 10x bigger than itself because of quantum compressors."

Elona. I'm taking peoples' sick dads (some of whom aren't eveen male, not sure how that works) to their doctors in other towns and delivering stuff to peoples' uncles (sometimes people share uncles, who may or may not actually be male). Eventually I have enough money to buy a nuke and go and blow up the capital city. After that, I run around "getting a little tail" to make a crapton of money.

Katamari Damacy. Simple concept to explain, but try explaining WHY it's fun.

Sooo many times.  Until you force them to play and they love it to death.

Oh man, soo jelly. I've been looking for this game for ages, no one stocks it anymore. Not even the sequel.

In my experience K-Mart overstocked on these and has had them for years.

If not under Neotemplar look for Vellum.

No K-Mart where I live, and I think that Amazon can get a bit funny when it comes to shipping stuff to other contries. But I'll have a nosey anyway, thanks.

I honestly thought it was. Either doing crazy stuff to get it, mad stuff during it, or just wondering about your state of mind after it, that's always been normal to me. Maybe I've been doing it wrong all this time. In retrospect, I must have been crazy to be with some of them........... Maybe I should change the topic to "what games just made you feel as though you fit perfectly into society and that you're normal?"

:)
