Hi, A worthless artifact was just made by one of my dwarves, It is an animal trap decorated with spider webs, I heard that spider webs can be used on cave traps to help catching things, Do you think it would help on this worthless animal trap?

Animal traps are for catching vermin and those, if I recall correctly, ignore webs wholesale. If you have an idle dwarf and no cats or other vermin hunters you can use it but other than that...

It's decorated with spider silk, not web sadly, and when people talk about putting gcs web on cage traps, they mean putting actual webs on top of cage traps :P

Not entirely useless.  (B)uilding it in an area where all can see and admire it will make your dwarves quite happy.  Or if you get an animal trap happy noble, stick it in their room.
