One of my original 7 got killed within the first month. I've built a proper tomb for him, with a coffin, but no one will go get his body, which is right next to the wagon.

His ghost just rose and is haunting the fortress. I picked a dwarf and disabled all jobs except burial, and he just sat around instead of going to get him and giving him a proper burial.

What am I missing here?

have you gone to enable the coffin allowed for burial? (q) over it
